Attach one with the paperclip, drag it onto the composer, or just take a screenshot and paste: pasting is the fast path, and pasting ordinary text still pastes text, so a stack trace keeps its line breaks and its indentation. Up to five images per message, 10 MB each, refused as you attach them with the reason if they do not fit rather than failing when you press Send. Both sides can attach, so an answer can show you the fix as well as describe it, and either side can click a thumbnail to see it full size. Your images live in a private bucket readable only by you and the BackTalk team, never on a public URL, and anything you pick but never send is cleaned up within a day. ## Message us from inside BackTalk **Aug 27, 2026** Questions, bug reports and ideas now have a home in the app. The message button in the corner sends a note without leaving what you were doing, and Messages in your account menu keeps each topic as its own conversation rather than one long thread. Replies arrive in the app and in your inbox, chained into a single email conversation instead of scattered messages, and both sides update live: an answer appears in the conversation you already have open, marked as new, with no refresh. Each message carries your workspace, role, plan and the page you were on, so the reply does not start with three questions. Opening a reply marks it read so we know the answer landed; you are never shown the reverse. ## Keywords match whole words **Aug 24, 2026** A keyword no longer matches inside a longer, unrelated word: watching “expo” used to pull in every mention of “export”. Whole-word matching is now on for every keyword, and each keyword carries a checkbox to switch it off when the phrase really is meant to match inside a word, such as a package prefix or a hashtag stem. The tighter match applies from the next sync on, and a new “Save and apply to history” button on the keyword form re-checks the mentions you already have, moving the ones that no longer match to Spam where you can rescue any of them. ## Viewer role: read-only seats for stakeholders **Aug 18, 2026** A fourth role sits below member. A viewer reads everything, the inbox, reports and AI answers, and changes nothing, so an exec, a PM or an agency's client can watch without touching your setup. Invite links can grant it, owners can move anyone to it, and API keys follow their creator's role: demote someone to viewer and their keys go read-only immediately, promote them again and the same token can write. ## Annual billing and invoices **Aug 18, 2026** Paying yearly, or needing a real invoice for procurement, no longer means a card in a form. Ask through the contact form and we invoice you directly, upgrade the workspace when it clears, then invoice again at renewal. The FAQ and the plans guide spell out the flow. ## A page for bigger teams, and a demo you can ask for **Aug 17, 2026** The new enterprise page answers what larger teams ask first: how data flows on your own keys, what is never trained on or resold, how workspaces stay isolated, and how roles and approvals work. It carries a short demo request that reaches us directly, so you can see BackTalk running on your keywords before committing. ## Probe one model on demand, and a fairer AI overall **Aug 10, 2026** Run a share-of-voice probe for a single model straight from the Sync all menu or the AI visibility page, instead of the whole panel, so you can refresh just the one you care about. The blended AI overall now weights every model equally, so probing one model more than another no longer skews the headline; on the trend, a day when only some models ran is marked so its jump reads honestly. ## AI Recommendation Standings **Aug 8, 2026** See what AI recommends to developers, in public. New monthly boards at /ai-recommends rank what Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity suggest across dev-tool categories like databases, hosting and error tracking, cross-referenced with what developers actually say. Each month's standings freeze so a cited link never changes, with dated archives per category and a methodology page you can point anyone to. ## We want to hear from you **Aug 7, 2026** A new contact form replaces the plain email link, so questions, feedback and bug reports reach us directly. Spam protection is built in, and every message is visible to the team so nothing slips through. ## Venice AI and per-model share of voice **Aug 6, 2026** Bring a Venice API key to probe open models alongside the big providers, and pick which model runs each task. AI share of voice now splits per model, so a model swap or a new release shows up as its own line on the scoreboard. ## Switch between workspaces **Aug 6, 2026** If you belong to more than one workspace, switch between them straight from the account menu, no signing out. Your selection sticks across visits. ## New comparison, use-case and tracker pages **Aug 6, 2026** More ways to see where BackTalk fits: head-to-head comparison pages against each competitor, deeper use-case pages, and a per-engine tracker page for every AI model we probe. ## Shareable recap image **Jul 28, 2026** Turn any report into a single image: mentions, sentiment, AI visibility and opportunities on one card, sized for Slack, a deck or social. BackTalk asks Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity the buyer-style questions your customers ask, then shows where you rank against competitors on each topic, the trend over time, and the sampled answers with your mentions and citations highlighted.
