Changelog
The major features as they shipped, newest first. BackTalk moves quickly. This is the user-visible trail.
Email digest reportsNew
A dashboard-style digest in your inbox: signal counts, the sentiment picture, and top mentions from across your platforms, each with a reply link. Personal per member. Daily, weekly or monthly, with a send-now button and one-click unsubscribe.
Public REST API and MCP server
Programmatic access to your workspace with scoped API keys: signals, keywords, watchers, the report and sync over REST, plus an MCP server so agents like Claude Code, Claude Desktop and ChatGPT can read and triage signals directly.
Per-platform source toggles
Turn each platform on or off for your workspace. Disabled sources are never swept, their state is explained everywhere counts appear, and a platform's stored data can be deleted once it's off.
Live team presence and instant keyword syncing
See who's online across your workspace, get real profile pictures throughout, and watch newly added keywords run their first backfill with visible progress instead of waiting for the next cron.
Bring-your-own-key docs
Step-by-step setup guides at /docs for every supported AI, search and data-source provider: where to get each key, what it unlocks, what it costs, and how to troubleshoot it.
Envelope encryption for stored keys
BYO provider keys and webhook URLs are encrypted with per-workspace data keys that can be wrapped by a cloud KMS, so a database dump alone can never decrypt them. Includes one-click rotation.
Team workspaces
Share a workspace on the Business plan. Invite by link, approve join requests, and control access with owner, admin and member roles. Members triage, admins configure, the owner runs billing.
Intent scoring and tunable sync cadence
AI now rates how strongly a mention signals buying or adoption intent (filterable in the inbox), and owners can slow the auto-sync cadence to save on their own API keys.
Bluesky source
Mentions from Bluesky join the inbox alongside the other platforms.
AI-powered analysis
Bring your own LLM key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, xAI) and every mention gets sentiment, priority, category and relevance scoring with spam filed for review, never dropped.
More platforms via Brave, YouTube and Stack Overflow
One Brave Search key unlocks Substack, Medium, LinkedIn and Reddit; YouTube and Stack Overflow join with their official APIs. Slack and Discord webhook digests ship alongside.
BackTalk launches
The MVP: watch keywords across Hacker News, dev.to, GitHub and Reddit, triage everything in one inbox with sentiment and a spam folder, and group keywords into watchers per project or client.
