Guides for BackTalk.sh: get started, set up keywords and work the inbox, share reports and digests, measure your AI visibility, and pick a plan. BackTalk.sh also runs on your own provider API keys, so you stay on your own rate limits and billing and nothing is marked up. You add keys in Settings; every key is encrypted at rest and only ever decrypted server-side at the moment it's used. The plaintext never reaches your browser and is never logged. AI provider keys

Bring your own LLM keys, one per provider. Every saved key probes its models for AI share of voice; the default key upgrades sentiment and categorisation from the free offline scorer.

Data-source keys

Free official API keys for specific platforms. YouTube and Stack Exchange each need their own free key before that source will sync. Both are optional sources, so skipping either leaves the rest of the workspace and every other platform unaffected.

API & MCP

Programmatic access to your workspace. A bearer-authenticated REST API for signals, keywords, watchers, the report and sync, plus an MCP server so agents (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT) can read and triage signals directly.

Provider keys are workspace-scoped and can be replaced or removed at any time from Settings. Removing an AI key falls back to the free offline sentiment scorer; removing a search or data-source key just pauses the platforms it powered.
