Bring your own keys
BackTalk.sh runs on your own provider API keys, so you stay on your own rate limits and billing and nothing is marked up. You add keys in Settings; every key is encrypted at rest and only ever decrypted server-side at the moment it's used. The plaintext never reaches your browser and is never logged. Pick a provider below for step-by-step setup.
AI provider keys
Bring your own LLM key to upgrade sentiment and categorisation from the free offline scorer. The workspace runs on one key at a time.
Search key
A metered web-search key that unlocks the sources without a usable public API: Substack, Medium, LinkedIn, and Reddit as a fallback.
Data-source keys
Free official API keys for specific platforms. YouTube needs one to sync at all; Stack Exchange just gets a higher quota.
Team
Share a workspace with your team. Invite people, choose what they can do, approve requests, and manage the roster. Access is controlled by workspace role.
Keys are workspace-scoped and can be replaced or removed at any time from Settings. Removing an AI key falls back to the free offline sentiment scorer; removing a search or data-source key just pauses the platforms it powered.
